I had an idea of making a tree full of different birds, and I challenged myself to paint it - and I did! Here is my bird tree collection.
It is made up of twelve individual paintings, and when they are assembled together they form a tree:)
Here's what it looked like when I was making it. I had to tape all the paintings together so I could get a cohesive look with the background.
Goldfinches
Chickadees
Yellow Warbler
Finches
Bluebirds
Rose Breasted Grosbeaks
Evening Grosbeaks
Waxwings
Blue Jays
Cardinals
Nuthatches
Robins

ReplyDeleteThanks Katie:) I would love to hear what kind of birds you have! I though about this the other day after visiting my dad in Florida and notice how different our squirrels are. It made me wonder how people would receive my animals.

ReplyDeleteThank you Arena:) I've been doing fairs ever since I was in high school. Lately I've beefed up my schedule and expanded my show season. It fun but also tedious.
ReplyDeleteThis is outstanding!! What an undertaking and you nailed it!!! Just beautiful!!! Im a photographer living in oahu hawaii and discovering birds her to photograph! Its been so fun!!! My fav bird her s the zebra dove...little, pretty and turquoise!!! Also the cattle egrets are numerous, like the crow in seattle wa where i am from! Oh and cant forget the red cardinal!!! Beautiful!! : )
